Top Spots
Posted on March 2, 2010 · Leave a CommentLike the AirTran commercial asks, “Need to get away?” Everyone needs to get away sometime and you’re not the exception! So, what are some of the top vacation spots for the month of March? Check them out:
Washington, D.C.
The capital’s famous cherry blossoms take over the Tidal Basin every spring, turning the heart of the city into a pink-hued wonderland. The National Cherry Blossom Festival will be celebrated this year from March 27-April 11, and though cherry trees bloom on their own schedule, we suggest going in late March, when the temperatures are likely to be at their most pleasant and the blossoms will just be getting ready to, well, blossom.
Cancun, Mexico
Spring break has a reputation for bringing out the wilder side of the party-loving college student. So does Cancun! Whether you’re actually in college or just want a spring break, the party doesn’t get any crazier than it does here. The nightlife is legendary, but with the beach and the ocean calling, there’s no reason to start the party at dusk or stop it at dawn. And fortunately, there’s plenty of less rowdy entertainment in case that’s not your style.
Ireland
Everyone gets to say they’re Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, but why not make a journey to Ireland itself? March 17 is a public holiday here, but events celebrating Celtic culture take place throughout the month. And since frequent rains have watered the beautiful Irish countryside all winter, March is also when the Emerald Isle is at its greenest, making this an especially appropriate time for a visit.
Which one would you rather travel to?

FastPencil

I have a co-worker who talks about writing a book and I honestly think she could do it. I mean, there are a lot of people out there in the world that think they can do it and I hope this post reaches them all (I’ve already sent it to my co-worker). I’ve found a site called FastPencil that streamlines the process of publishing a book. It’s easy to get started and to finish. You can even use their blog-to-book function that translates your blog in to a book just like that. This is almost too easy! There is NO reason not to at least try to get your book started. Good luck to everyone this reaches!
Quick Decorating Tips
Posted on February 23, 2010 · Leave a CommentTrust me, I know it’s hard to decorate your apartment! You should have seen mine a few years back. There wasn’t a common theme or style; there was just décor everywhere! Now, don’t get me wrong some people can pull that off because that’s what they’re going for, but not me. I just didn’t have any style! I have since graduated from design college and stepped my decorating game up, so if you wish to do the same check out these quick tips:
De-clutter your apartment
Nothing zaps a great look like clutter. Look around you. Do you have paper plies or mail stacks? Do you just add to your knickknack collection rather than rotate your select favorites? When was the last time you saw the front of your refrigerator? A few simple solutions that cost very little money are to invest in nice office trays, pretty bulletin boards and frames for your child’s artwork. Make the trash can handy to immediately toss unwanted mail. Taking away the clutter will make your space appear larger and help your treasured objects be emphasized rather than lost.
Paint to Impress
Paint, as you know, makes the most dramatic change for the money. Be bold, be daring and most importantly – don’t do white! Choose a complex color. This simply means if you would use several different words to describe the color than it is probably complex. For example; if you said it was a kind of “gold, straw, beige-y color” than it is probably a complex color. If you said “just yellow” – it probably is not a very inspiring look. A beautiful color on the walls can make the room go from ordinary to extraordinary in less than a day and usually for less than $50.

It’s Time to Change The Kitchen

So, it’s time to change the kitchen around, huh? I have the perfect tips and tricks for you and there not big drastic ideas, but easy, simple tips. Check these out and be sure to give us some ideas that you might come across during the change!
- Change your look with accessories. A few strategically placed accessories can change your kitchen from dull to dramatic! Choose a theme and you could give your kitchen a whole new look just by replacing some key accessories like toaster covers, dish towels, canister sets, salt and pepper shakers and pot holders.
- Change your cabinet pulls. There are so many different styles of cabinet pulls these days – figural, wooden, ceramic, glass – you should be able to find a design that matches your new decor easily. They are easy to install yourself and your friends will think you got new cabinets!
- Add a border. Wallpaper borders are easy to put up and can add color and interest. You can use them at the top of the wall or go with a less traditional use underneath the cabinets. Use them at chair rail height to break up long walls. An even less expensive (but more labor intensive) alternative is to use stencils and paint.
Sazo’s
Posted on February 18, 2010 · Leave a CommentLooking for that perfect Latin dish? I’ve got the perfect restaurant for you! Sazo’s Latin Grill offers a fusion of flavors and a passion for daring in the food they serve and the experience they provide. They provide a much laid back and casual environment where you can sent back and enjoy fine wines and dining. If you’ve ever been out on the town and gone to a lounge the atmosphere is the same at Sazo’s except for delicious food is served.

If you’re looking to just chat over a glass of wine and a few tapas, by all means you’re welcome to do so. Sazo’s periodically schedules live entertainment and local art during weekends, so maybe you’ll catch flamenco dancers or maybe even an art show. And don’t forget to join the Sazo Dining Club for priority seating, a free birthday dinner and 10% off for holiday brunches. You can’t beat Sazo’s. Period.

The Spurs are only a game and a half behind the Southwest leading Dallas Mavericks heading into the first game since the All Star break in which the West lost late. The Spurs only All Star Tim Duncan is leading the team in three different categories: points (19.4 ppg), rebounds (10.7 ppg) and blocks (1.8 ppg). People forget that Duncan was The Chosen One before Lebron was in high school.
With another 40+ games left in the season, there’s time for the Spurs to go on a long run for the playoffs with hopes of making the Finals. Making the Finals will be a tall glass of water having to get by the defending champions, the LA Lakers. But, with a healthy line-up including Parker and Ginobili the Spurs can definitely do it. My only concern is Duncan down the line; he’s a little older and I think Popovich should think about resting him any time he gets the chance. Spurs to the Finals? We’ll just have to see.

Like everyone I have dreams at night and sometimes those dreams turn into nightmares, but not normal nightmares with monsters and things like that. I have nightmares about losing my teeth! Yeah, it’s weird and all but those kind of dreams are crazy and I’ve always wanted to know what they mean. So, I found this website that interprets your dreams for you. And apparently losing your teeth is interpreted as losing an important relationship in your life. That’s pretty scary! Check out the website and tell us what your dreams mean!
